1. Yes, I have myspace… lol. I spend maybe an hour on it each day, but im logged in 24/7. My computer never sleeps, just like me.

2. My parents don’t have one, and when i showed them mine, they got pissed cuz i said I was agnostic, and they though I was christian like them lol. They havn’t looked at it since. Wooo!

3. My friends and I all think that myspace is like that dark alleyway in downtown san diego. Its the breeding ground for internet ‘whores’ aka ‘myspace whores’. Fighting them off is like fighting off the living dead. You need lots of willpower, lots of holy water, and lots of patience to decline the infected friends requests.  My parents think myspace is cool. They like to  look up their friends from high school. They sift through  40 pages of names, becase they dunno how to use the zip code search. My grandma is just like “lol wut?” when i talk about myspace.

4. MySpace likes to ask for all your most personal information and hand it out to the world. For example, when you meet somebody in person, you wouldnt say “Hi, i’m a 31 year old bisexual female who smokes and drinks, is a proud parent, and aspires to be a vegas showgirl.”

Blog Assignment #10 – Skype Phone Client

April 25, 2008 by siraaron

This article was found at http://www.techcrunch.com/2008/04/25/skype-offers-half-pregnant-java-mobile-phone-client/

The company being discussed can be found at www.skype.com

Apparently, the internet calling company “Skype” is going to launch a cellular phone client for users to use their software on.  Skype on phones means free calling to other skype users, group chat, 1 on 1 chat, and voice chat rooms

This breakthrough was much needed and is important because it will offer an alternative to how we can communicate with our “homies”. Say you have a friend who has no cell phone, and plays World of Warcraft and sits on skype all day. Instead of calling his home phone (which he won’t answer due to being in the middle of an “epic raid!!11″) you can call him on Skype, and he’ll be all pumped because he has the answer button hotkeyed to F13.

I’ve used skype many times on my home PC to do a number of things…

  • To call China, and give them greetings from america.
  • To prank call the british’
  • To make everyday conference calls to everyday people

I have to say, it is a great program with great free features, but the pay features are overpriced.

I like this template cuz its very sciency. Science teachers need a sciency page, because they teach science. It also has cool colors, and is easy to navigate.

I like this one because its like, easy to get around. It has a cool building layout.

3. Tax accounting place

This one is good because it shows they mean business. It has a sleek layout, showing aspects of the job. The colors are nice too.

4. Paintball field

I like this one because when people look at it, they automatically wanna play paintball. And that will draw more attentiom to the feild.

www.purepwnage.com

Pretty much, this website posts flash videos of them owning. It’s as simple as that. They have the best videos eve, and with flash, it makes them load in an instant.

www.projectplaylist.com

This website allows you to make a playlist with any songs you want, and it uses flash so it loads really fast.

Flash is definately the way to go for most interactive media online. It loads really quickly. It keeps the good quality. It is the future of internet media.

Even though I only saw about 45 minutes of the movie, I stick with my old theories. Mac is for girls, Linux is for communists, and Bill Gates is a Christ Figure.

Steve Jobs image changed alot to me. I was completely wrong in the way I though of him. I thought of him as an evil leader plotting world domination in the form of an apple. Now I picture him as an evil leader plotting world domination as well as a total idiot nerd geekhead who thinks hes the best. Oh yeah, and hes a noob.

I think that  Steve Jobs is a little wussy boy who likes to steal paper comapny’s work.

I respect Bill Gates for pirating the Mac.

http://www.efuse.com/Design/navigation.html

There is some irony here. This site attempts to tell you how to use navigation, yet their site is a craphole when it comes to navigation.  I didn’t know where I was half the time, and I wanted to pound my face into this desk because the navigation graphics made my eyes bleed. My 10 year old brother could create a navigation system better than this, and he is blind and deaf.

Ebay

2 words. Navigation = AHHHHHH! I don’t know where I am on this site. I know I was doing something, but once I find the link to it, I forgot what I’m doing. They say they are a ‘Multi million dollar corporation’. My advice is that they drop a few million into hiring some people with more than 1 ball to code their website for them.

PHP Chapter 1 Questions

January 22, 2008 by siraaron

Why use PHP?

Php is useful for a number of things including connecting and using databases, and allowing the server to interact with the users.  Php is great for submitting form data, and this can help in things such as online stores, online surveys, and message boards.

How is it written?

It looks difficult at first, but php seems to be a bunch of loops that tell the server to do certain things. For example, there could be a line of code that tells the server to show the visitor’s IP address on load.

Summarize reading info

Thic chapter gave a lot of insight on php, including how it is written, what it does, and what it is used for.

www.zezima.biz

This website created in Santee CA, sells unique custom email addresses for the MMORPG RuneScape. Right now they lack a decent way to look around the site. Currently, their only page is the index which includes an application for an email account.  This site has a great layout, and has potential to become big. Online Game users are always looking for a way to stand out, and with a unique email such as ‘theirname@zezima.biz’, they will be recognized above others on forum sites, messengers, and in game, which will make this site very successful. This site needs to add more pages for further information such as support, and maybe even a way for users to check their email from the site.

www.ronnhall.com

The Ronn Hall Insurance group is one of the bigger San Diego based insurance companies. After looking at this site for awhile, I have come to  the conclusion that it is very unoirganized, and poorly put together. This site needs work. Their side scroll navigation reminds me of the mid 90’s. It is pretty cheap to make a navigation in a sepearate frame, because it makes it harder to know where you are. Also, this website appears warped in Firefox. If they are making a website for a large business, it should be compatible with the most used browser ever. One thing that this site does well is suck. They are really good at sucking with their web design.

http://www.photobucket.com/

This website allows users to upload their images, and then other users can search the images. This allows people to access and share pictures which is a kick arse idea.

Nasa Photo Gallery

This gallery lists links to each of their pictures, which is cool, but it is kinda hard to use.

San Diego Photo Gallery

This site has smaller pictures like a list, and if you see one that catches your interest, you can blow it up. I think this is how galleries should be.
